23.9% of students studying biosciences in the UK are minority ethnic, yet only 4.4% make it as Professors. Why is that? This conference will try to address this while also celebrating the contributions of ethnic minorities to natural history. Talks will include looking to the past to uncover unsung heros and hidden treasures throughout natural history; current experiences for ethnic minorites within the field and what initiatives are underway to counteract this narrative.

Speakers include: Prof Pratik Chakrabarti, Miranda Lowe FLS, Claire Banks, Prof Richard Pancost and Kevin Coutinho
